College Bridge

Jacksboro ISD is proud to announce our two students who have matched to Questbridge for the National College Match Scholarship.  Questbridge seeks to pair high-achieving students with some of the top private and Ivy League schools across the nation. Congratulations to Nicole Ouyang and Glyndon Rodriguez!

In the beginning, there were over 25,000 applicants. Those applicants were then narrowed down to 7,000 semi-finalists, where 2,550 matches were made. Nicole and Glyndon were notified in October that they were selected as finalists. The next step was to select their top 15 schools from across the country and rank them in order. Once the schools were ranked, they were given two weeks to complete all the individual applications, including separate essays. These students then chose to apply to some of the toughest schools for admission.

In December, they were notified that they had both been selected- Nicole will be attending Wellesley, and Glyndon will attend Stanford. This scholarship will cover the cost of tuition and fees, housing and food, textbooks and supplies, as well as their travel expenses, which will allow them to graduate debt-free!

Please join me in congratulating these two students!
