Brad Burnett

Superintendent, Jacksboro ISD

Mr. Brad Burnett is entering his 31st year in education, all of which have been with Jacksboro ISD. He started as an Ag Science Teacher at Jacksboro High School, then became the JHS principal, later serving as the Assistant Superintendent, and in January 2022, was named the JISD Superintendent. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Services and Development from Tarleton State University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Midwestern State University. He and his wife, Laurie, have two children, Lexi (24) and Brady (21), both proud graduates of Jacksboro High School. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and raising cattle on the family ranch in Young County.
