JHS Ex-Students Association Scholarship Committee

JHS Ex-Student's Scholarship Committee

The Jacksboro High School Ex-Student's Scholarship Committee was founded in 1990 by JHS graduates Jerry and Linda Craft.  They presented two one thousand dollar college scholarships at the May 1990 graduation ceremony.

As of May 2018, the Committee has awarded $1,075,000.00 in scholarships.

The Committee awards scholarships to pursue four-year degrees and two-year associate degrees.  They have been awarded to a JHS graduate that attended Harvard University to become an attorney and to others attending Texas State Technical College to become plumbers.

The principle donors have been, of course, JHS Ex-Students, the Miles Foundation of Ft. Worth, and the Swan Family Foundation and the Ed Henry Stewart Foundation of Jacksboro.
