Welcome to the Jacksboro Elementary School Counseling website!
Mission Statement: The mission of the JES comprehensive school counseling program is to provide positive support and guidance to all students as a means to help develop and enhance their academic, social/personal, and career abilities in order to become responsible and productive members of society.
My name is Teresa Howard. I am the Jacksboro Elementary School Counselor, Elementary Gifted and Talented Coordinator, and the Elementary U.I.L Coordinator.
This is my 4th year as the JES school counselor. I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade here in Jacksboro for 12 years and I have loved expanding my career into counseling. One of the greatest things is to be able to reach more students, staff, and community members as well. I graduated from Midwestern State University in 2007 with a Bachelor's degree. I went on to Lamar University to get my master's in school counseling in 2015 and a certificate in clinical counseling in 2016.
My husband, Jeremy, and I were married in 2001. We have 3 boys who all have gone to school here in Jacksboro. Cody is 22, Caleb is 20, and Caden is 15. We love to go to football games, listen to the band and cheer on the Tigers!
