Welcome to the Jacksboro Elementary School Counseling website!
Mission Statement: The mission of the JES comprehensive school counseling program is to provide positive support and guidance to all students as a means to help develop and enhance their academic, social/personal, and career abilities in order to become responsible and productice members of society.
My name is Teresa Howard. This will be my second year as the JES counselor. I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade here in Jacksboro for the last 12 years and I have loved expanding my career into counseling. One of the greatest thing is to be able to reach more students, staff, and community members as well. I graduated from Midwestern State University in 2007 with a Bachelor's degree. I went on to Lamar University to get my master's in school counseling in 2015 and a certificate in clinical counseling in 2016.
My husband, Jeremy, works for the Jack County Sheriff's Department. We have 3 boys who all have gone to school here in Jacksboro. Cody is 20, Caleb is 18, and Caden is 13. We love to go to football games, listen to the band and cheer on the Tigers!
I look forward to this upcoming year!
