G/T Program at JHS
The G/T program for Jacksboro High School is based on the Pre-AP and AP/dual credit classes. Each G/T student must register for at least one Pre-AP or AP/dual credit class each semester to remain in the program. G/T students also have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities that promote and enhance other abilities such as leadership skills, creativity, music, art, or athletics. Some of these activities include Band, UIL activities, Mock Trial, Destination Imagination, Theater Arts/Production, FFA, FCCLA, FBLA, and Student Council. In addition opportunities are provided for the G/T students to attend field trips and other activities. Students are responsible for signing up for and participating in these activities. For additional information please contact Dr. Liz Spears, High School G/T coordinator at 567-7339 or spearsla@jacksboroisd.net or by using the question blog.
