Jacksboro High School is filled with great traditions, outstanding students, and excellent teachers. I am proud to be a part of the learning community at JHS. Our school is a great place to work and learn. We strive to create a positive and safe learning environment where all students can gain the knowledge required to become productive citizens. Our primary focus is to provide a well rounded educational experience that stresses academics but also provides for the development of character, community service, teamwork, and leadership skills.
We offer a full complement of regular and advanced academic courses. Our students have the opportunity to prepare for post-secondary education through enrollment in Pre-Advanced Placement, Advanced Placement, and Dual-Credit courses in all the core academic subject areas (English, math, science, and social studies).
Elective course options are numerous and varied at JHS. Students select from courses in Athletics, Band, Career & Technical Education (Agriculture, Family Consumer Science, Business/Office Education, and Technology Applications), Fine Arts (Art and Theatre Arts) and Foreign Language (Spanish).
