I began my teaching career in Dallas after graduating from Jacksboro High School and the University of Texas. This year begins my 34th year of teaching. I am married to Tommy Kaker and have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. I love the mountains of Colorado and Ruidoso, New Mexico. I believe every child can learn and that teaching is a calling. I am excited about a new year in second grade.

My goal is for each child to gain self discipline. Tiger tickets are awarded for good behavior and extra hard work. Ten tickets will earn child a trip to the treasure chest. A discipline report is sent in folder every Friday.
