JHS Student Council Holds Leadership Workshop
The Jacksboro High School Student Council sponsored a leadership workshop for all class officers on Friday, August 13, 2010. The purpose of the workshop was to provide important information to all the class officers and to give the officers a chance to work on ideas for their Homecoming floats. This year's theme is "JHS- Imagine the Possibilities" and officers worked to develop float themes to present to their classes at the class meetings that will be held on September 9th. The officers also were introduced to the high school principal, Mr. Brad Burnett, and to the new assistant principal, Mrs. Lynn Anderson. Student Council sponsor Dr. Liz Spears discussed officer responsibilities, upcoming events, important dates, and spirit themes and activities for pep rallys.
Student Council officers for 2010-2011 are Baeli Jones-Briscoe, President, McCall Maddox, Vice President, Denver Teague, Corresponding Secretary, Caitlin Fudge, Recording Secretary, Kelsey Browning, Treasurer, Reid Spiller, Reporter, Koby Hood, Parlimentarian, and Lucas Kinder, Historian. Senior class officers are Keely Hamman, President, Allie Smith, Vice President, Jessica Huerta, Secretary, Kelsey Browning, Treasurer, Erin Nichols, Parlimentarian, Emily Herod, Historian, and Baeli Jones-Briscoe, Reporter.
Junior class officers are McCall Maddox, President, Jessica Bailey, Vice President, Carly Mahoney, Secretary, Breanne Cathey, Treasurer, Kiara Lira, Parlimentarian, Lindsay Hicks, Historian, and Jael Flores, Reporter.
Sophomore class officers are Reid Spiller, President, Koby Hood, Vice President, Caitlin Fudge, Secretary, Logan Dixon, Treasurer, Cristian Botello, Parlimentarian, Karly West, Historian, and Sady Worthington, Reporter. The freshmen class officers are Darby Perry, President, Ranczy Sanders, Vice President, Kelsey Laake, Secretary, Urvi Patel, Treasurer, Danielle Fullerton, Parlimentarian, Kolton Hensley, Historian, and Jen Newman and Raney Overton, Co-reporters. Student Council representatives for each class will be elected from Student Council members in September.
