THE GO GREEN CITY with JES and JLMS Students
THE GOING GREEN CITY 2010 with 3, 4, 5, and 6 Grade Students
By Karen Mask
Under the direction of Fine Arts teacher, Karen Mask, JES third, fourth, and fifth graders had the fun of building a new city, THE GOING GREEN CITY. As the name implies, students designed buildings using ideas for promoting conservation of our resources. As with last year’s TEXASVILLE, visitors will be seeing many kinds of businesses, from hotels, football fields, police stations to restaurants except that this new city promotes green measures. This will be a “must see”!
The public is invited to view THE GOING GREEN CITY at the PTA meeting in the JES cafeteria February 18 at 6:30 p.m. on a Thursday night after seeing a performance of a recycle rap by those same students. The JLMS sixth grade art class will also have informative posters on display. Ice cream will be served!
