District Spelling Bee

The Jacksboro Elementary School held the annual District Spelling Bee on Tuesday, January 19th in the elementary school cafeteria.  Several students from grades 3rd, 4th, and 5th competed in the local bee.  Joshua Brown was declared the District Spelling Bee Champion, and Clay Botello took 2nd place overall.  Six local students including Joshua Brown, Ashleigh Erwin, Clay Botello, Kamlynn Thomas, Brady Burnett, and Emily Autry all earned the right to compete in the Area Spelling Bee that will be held at Jacksboro Elementary School on Tuesday, February 9th.

 

"Significant"

Joshua Brown, JES 5th Grader, spelled the word "consonant" and the the word 

"significant" to become the 2010 Spelling Bee Champion at Jacksboro Elementary School.
