Rick Jackson, JHS Class of ’67, was commissioned by the district to create a bronze sculpture of a life-size Bengal Tiger for the new high school. Rick has titled the bronze, Formidable. We believe this work is an excellent example of the great tradition and pride that represents the Jacksboro Tigers. The 950 pound bronze will be located in the foyer of the gymnasium and will be beautifully displayed on a 7’x 12’ elevated platform that can be viewed from all four sides.
JISD is proud to offer a limited edition of 85 bronze maquettes of the life-size sculpture. Each 9”x14” bronze maquette will be signed, numbered, and displayed on a base that swivels 360 degrees, allowing the purchaser to easily view the sculpture from every possible angle. We believe this limited sale is an excellent way to invest in the tradition of Jacksboro High School, as well as provide you with a beautiful piece of art. Maquettes can be purchased for $1,800.00 each.
