Hello! My name is Misti Thompson and I am the fourth grade reading teacher at JES! I am married to Travis Thompson and have four children: Chase, Baylee, Savannah, and Ty Gunner. I love to cook and read. When not at school, I stay very busy watching my children in extra-curricular activities. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tarleton State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I am also certified in special education and ESL. I graduated with my Master's in Educational Administration from Tarleton State University in 2011. Starting in 2004, I taught kindergarten in Mineral Wells for three years. Next, I taught pre-k and special education for four years at Jacksboro Elementary School. Last year I taught kindergarten. I am currently in my sixth year with JES. This year I will be teaching fourth grade reading. I am very excited about a new adventure in fourth grade! I love to read and am excited about teaching something I love! Teaching is my passion! I believe that it is my duty to provide my students an education in a fun and exciting way! |
