Jacksboro ISD Selects Brannon Rodgers as Athletic Director/Head Football Coach


154 applications were reviewed and narrowed to nine candidates for interviews. Coach Brannon Rodgers was the unanimous choice of the committee following this process.  Coach Rodgers has served Crosbyton ISD for the past 11 years as Athletic Director/Head Football Coach. The committee found him to be an outstanding individual (2014 Crosbyton Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year) and a proven program builder focused on character, work ethic, relationships, trust, and sound fundamental preparation. He has placed an emphasis on leading a coaching staff that is above reproach. He has shown a special ability to develop and maximize the attributes of the students in his care, as well as encouraging those that are not currently participating to join and be a part of something special.


Some of his achievements at Crosbyton include:

  • 2015 Regional Qualifier, 11-2 Record

  • 2014 State Quarterfinalist, 12-1 Record

  • 72-51 Overall Football Record

    • 1st 4 Seasons 15-25 Record

    • Last 7 Seasons 57-26 Record

    • 26-7 District Record in the last 7 Seasons with 5 District Titles

  • 2014 Texas Tech Chapter National Football Foundation Coach of the Year

  • 2011 & 2014 District Coach of the Year

  • 5 District Titles, 2 Bi-District Titles, 3 Area Titles, 1 Regional Title, 1 State Quarterfinal Appearance

  • Overall success in multiple sports with consistent playoff teams in Basketball, Baseball, and Track

  • Over 80% Participation Rate in Athletics


Coach Rodgers and his wife, Misty (Speech Language Pathologist), have a 9th grade son, Ty, and a 5th grade daughter, Aubrey.
